Chocolate Turkeys

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week! The fall has been a whirlwind of activities...the start of school, soccer games, apple picking, and Halloween. Daylight Savings and the chill in the air here in New York City definitely makes me feel like we should be looking out for the chocolate turkeys….but still, I’m not ready!

This weekend our family went to see the Big Apple Circus. As a special treat the clowns from the Macy’s Day Parade were under the big top. Yup, even clowns go to school – Clown School. These clowns were being trained for their stroll down Broadway. And they were pretty fabulous! I have always loved the big parade – and being in New York City makes the event even grander. It’s fun to watch the floats inflate the night before. I’ve never stood outside to watch the parade on the street….being inside on the couch watching on the television always seems the best way.

Sure as sugar, I’ll be eating a chocolate turkey at some point. Hope you get to gobble, gobble one up too….

Happy Thanksgiving!
